Revolutionizing Bing AI: Enhancing Precise Mode and Introducing 'No Search' Function
Microsoft has recently made a significant update to its Bing AI chatbot, specifically focusing on improving its ‘Precise’ mode. The Bing AI chatbot offers three modes: Precise, Balanced, and Creative.

According to Mikhail Parakhin, head of Advertising and Web Services at Microsoft, the company has completed the rollout of a “pretty big update” for the Precise mode. This update does not introduce new features but aims to enhance the quality of answers provided by the chatbot in this mode.
Parakhin shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), acknowledging that some users have noticed the improvements in the Precise mode. He mentioned that users have expressed their observations in a slightly negative manner, saying that “Creative has gotten worse - now even Precise is better.” However, Parakhin emphasizes that the improved Precise mode is indeed a positive step forward.
Better Answers for Bing AI
Improving the quality of answers is a crucial aspect of enhancing the Bing AI experience. Microsoft recognizes this and has focused on refining the Precise mode to deliver more accurate and helpful responses.
Additionally, Microsoft is also working on another feature called the ‘no search’ parameter. This parameter will allow users to disable the chatbot’s access to web search functions when generating answers. The ‘no search’ function is currently being developed as a plug-in rather than a direct integration into Bing AI. Parakhin mentions that the feature is still in progress and will be introduced as part of the general plug-in rollout.
