Paladins, the fantasy themed team-based shooter developed by Hi-Rez Studios, has made a huge impact since its transition into Open Beta. With Early Access availability on Steam, the game has quickly climbed the ranks to become one of Steam’s Top 10 Games by player count. This success has led Hi-Rez Studios to expand their upcoming Paladins Invitational Tournament to include teams from various regions around the world.
Recently announced by Hi-Rez Studios, the Paladins Invitational Tournament will now feature teams not only from North America and Europe, but also from Brazil, Latin America, Australia/New Zealand, and China. This expansion aims to accommodate the strong interest and growing player base of Paladins globally. The tournament is set to take place at Hi-Rez Expo from January 5-8, 2017.

Within the first week of Early Access, over 100,000 new accounts were created, showcasing the immense popularity of the game. To determine which teams from Brazil/Latin America, Australia/New Zealand, and China will compete in the Paladins Invitational, Hi-Rez Studios has partnered with Level Up, Double Jump, and Tencent, respectively. These global partners will oversee regional tournaments to select the top teams from each region. The winners will then earn their spot in the $150,000 Paladins Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Paladins Invitational will kick off with 8 teams battling it out for a chance to reach the finals. The tournament matches will be held at the Cobb Energy Center and will be broadcast live for viewers at home to enjoy.
